Design at CAN Health means designing for people under stress — a nurse at hour eleven of a shift, a family caregiver trying to read a medication list, a hospital administrator reconciling discharge data. As a Senior Product Designer you will shape how CareOS and CAN Companion look, feel, and communicate. You will co-design with clinicians and patients, not just for them.
The role
What you'll do.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for CareOS and CAN Companion surfaces: research, concept, interaction design, and production handoff.
- Conduct contextual research with nurses, patients, and care coordinators to ground design decisions in real workflows.
- Build and maintain a shared design language that scales across mobile, tablet, and clinical dashboard surfaces.
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure implementation matches intent, and advocate for accessible, inclusive interfaces.
- Facilitate design critiques and contribute to a feedback culture that makes every designer on the team better.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showing complex information-dense interfaces.
- Deep proficiency in Figma, including component libraries and auto-layout systems.
- Experience designing for healthcare, fintech, or other regulated, high-stakes contexts preferred.
- Strong research skills — you conduct interviews, synthesise findings, and translate insight into design decisions.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and a belief that inclusive design is good design.
